Nursing Homes

SM_FacebookSM_TwitterSM_LinkedinSM_Pinterest
There are 1.4 million Americans living in the nation’s 15,600 nursing homes. Today, your loved one might be one of them; one day, maybe it will be you. We must be able to depend on nursing homes to provide reliable, compassionate, high-quality care.

That’s why the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) created a strategy for guiding local, state and national efforts to improve nursing home quality of care.

As part of that strategy, atom Alliance is uniting nursing homes in a powerful collaborative to share tools, knowledge and experiences for improving resident safety and clinical processes and reducing preventable healthcare conditions. Download our fact sheet.

atom Alliance is focused on helping nursing homes

  • understand Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI),
  • reduce unnecessary antipsychotic drug use in dementia patients,
  • increase resident mobility and
  • improve their national nursing home rating.

To accomplish this, atom Alliance offers

  • customized onsite consultation,
  • quality improvement skills training,
  • evidence-based tools and resources,
  • ongoing educational opportunities and
  • an active nursing home collaborative.
