Stop the Spread of Antibiotic Resistance

A growing number of infections are antibiotic resistant. Antibiotic-resistant infections are spreading between healthcare facilities, even facilities that are practicing infection control and antibiotic stewardship.

In a Vital Signs video from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), modeling provided by the University of Utah Simulation Modeling Group shows the effects of a coordinated approach, where healthcare facilities and health departments work together to reduce the spread of antibiotic-resistant infections and to protect patients.
