Savor the Flavor of Eating Right
National Nutrition Month is observed every March to highlight the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and exercise habits. The theme for 2016 is “Savor the Flavor of Eating Right,” which encourages everyone to take time to enjoy food traditions and appreciate the pleasures, great flavors and social experiences food can add to our lives. How, when, why and where we eat are just as important as what we eat.
Qsource encourages you to help your patients maintain healthy eating habits while enjoying food and what it represents in their culture. A piece of birthday cake or a nice dinner out to celebrate an anniversary allows everyone to savor life, while being mindful that eating those things every day is not healthy.
