Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: Fighting for Health Security
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) works around the clock to protect America from health, safety and security threats, both foreign and in the U.S. Whether diseases start at home or abroad, are chronic or acute, curable or preventable, human error or deliberate attack, CDC fights disease and supports communities and citizens to do the same.
To accomplish this, the CDC conducts critical science and provides health information that protects the nation against expensive and dangerous health threats and responds when they arise.
Contracted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to improve healthcare quality in the states of Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee, Qsource is part of a broad national effort comprised of several national partners, including the CDC. Our goals serve to advance the CDC’s, specifically, by Improving Immunization Rates and Reducing Healthcare-Associated Infections.
We thank our national partners for providing the dedicated leadership needed to improve healthcare quality and equity for older Americans and look forward to continued advancements and success.
